The program surveys issues involved in managing internationally. It focuses on cultural issues related to effective management styles and introduces methods for preparing employees for overseas assignments. The program also covers the key topics of formation and implementation of strategies in the global environment, the building of strategic alliances, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication, international human resource management, and business ethics.

About the authors
John Cullen is a Professor of Management, Ph.D. Program Director and the Huber Chair of Entrepreneurial Studies at Washington State University. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He consults regularly with U.S. and Japanese organizations regarding international strategic alliances and the management of ethical behavior.
K. Praveen Parboteeah is a Professor of International Management in the Department of Management, University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. He received his Ph.D. from Washington State University. He was the 2005 Western Academy of Management Ascendant Scholar and has won the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater Award for Outstanding Research.
